Day 1: Torres Torres – Segorbe (22 km)

The first stage of the route will take you from Torres-Torres to Segorbe along the Ojos Negros Greenway. Along the way, you’ll travel through a stunning landscape of orange groves, mountains and native Mediterranean flora and fauna. We’ll pass through the magnificent Sierra Calderona and Sierra de Espadán Natural Parks. We’ll recharge our batteries in Segorbe, the capital of the Alto Palancia region – a town of great cultural richness whose significant historical past is reflected in its architectural heritage, which has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest.

From Segorbe to Jérica, we travel 20 km surrounded by a natural landscape of spectacular mountains. Jérica, considered by many to be the ‘Hidden Gem’, welcomes us with its imposing Mudejar-style Bell Tower.

On our return to Torres-Torres, we will pass through the spectacular landscapes of villages such as Navajas, Castellnovo and Sot de Ferrer, amongst many others. To make the most of the beauty of our region, this time we will follow part of the route down and along the River Palancia, accompanied by the sound of its waters.
